President’s Message

On behalf of the 300 faculty and staff of Dalton State, I am proud to welcome you to our campus. Whether you’re here online or planning to visit us in person, I trust your experience will be a rewarding one.

During our 41 years, Dalton State has served more than 90,000 students from northwest Georgia, across the country, and even around the world. As a growing and thriving institution, we offer our students an ever-expanding and diverse array of educational opportunities from certificates for professional development, to associate degrees in the arts and sciences, to bachelor degrees in accounting, business, early childhood education, social work, biology, and mathematics.

Dalton State is student-centered and teaching-oriented, which guarantees our students have daily interaction with professors who are experts in their fields. Our student-to-faculty ratio of 22:1 ensures class sizes small enough for individual attention and large enough for interaction with other students. A broad selection of student clubs and organizations, along with a newly renovated fitness center and indoor swimming pool, and intramural sports, offer opportunities for campus involvement, personal growth, and keeping fit. Everything we do begins and ends with the Dalton State student.
