Dalton State College is excited to offer
high school students an opportunity to
enhance their academic career by
participating in one of our Early Enrollment
Programs.
The College Prep Accel Program
offers academically talented Georgia high
school students the chance to earn degree
level credit hours as they simultaneously
meet their high school graduation
requirements. Tuition is paid by the HOPE
program. Participation is limited to fall
and/or spring semesters.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 16 years of age or older and at least a
high school junior
- 3.0 high school GPA in courses
taken from the required 16 CPC units
- SAT score of 1060 or above (minimum 530
verbal and 530 math required) or ACT
composite score of 23 or above (minimum 23
English and 22 math required)

The Tech-Prep Dual Enrollment
Program allows qualifying Georgia
high school students the option to begin
working towards earning a technical
certificate prior to high school graduation.
SAT/ACT scores are not required for
admission to the Tech Prep Dual Enrollment
Program and no minimum high school grade
point average is required.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 16 years of age or older and
at least a high school junior
- Compass exam scores of: 32 or above
in English, and 25 or above in pre-algebra,
and 62 or above in reading
