Transfer Admission.
Any applicant who has previously been enrolled at any other regionally accredited postsecondary institution will be classified as a transfer student. Students with fewer than 30 transferable semester credit hours must meet the freshman admission requirements.

A transfer applicant must complete all the following requirements:

  • A complete Dalton State application, online or printed.
  • A $20 non-refundable application fee for on-line applications. A $25 non-refundable fee for applications submitted by paper and $50 non-refundable fee for international applicants.
  • Official transcripts should be requested from all vocational schools, colleges and universities that the applicant has previously attended. Copies of these records must be mailed by the issuing school or agency directly to Enrollment Services.
  • Certificate of Immunization Form
  • Official high school transcripts and  test score requirements will be needed unless the applicant has 30 or more transferable semester credit hours.
