The James & Sis Brown Fellowship honors the lifelong commitment to higher education of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Brown. Chartered in 1998, the Brown Fellowship provides much-needed unrestricted financial support to the DSC Foundation. Membership is open to individual donors who fulfill a pledge of $10,000 or more over 10 years or less.

Student scholarships, study abroad, faculty research, and technological advances on campus are a few of the ways the Brown Fellowship supports the Foundation’s mission.

James E. Brown was a Regent of the University System of Georgia, a member of the Governor’s Education Review Commission, and a Trustee of the DSC Foundation. He died in 2004.

Mary “Sis” Brown continues to be an active supporter of higher education and a valued friend of DSC. She currently serves on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees’ Executive Committee.
