The FYES1000 course is designed to introduce students to college life and expectations.  Class sections are small, focus on discussion, and include a variety of activities designed to acclimate students to DSC.  The material covered in FYES1000 consists of study skills, note taking strategies, learning styles, time management, critical thinking, academic advising, etc., and is designed to further help students to transition smoothly to DSC and give the foundation needed to become life long learners.
