Bachelor of Applied Science Requirements
All successful applicants to the BS and BAS programs will be required to complete the Business II Test of Educational Testing Service's Major Field Achievement Test. Any student may seek a waiver to these requirements by submitting a letter outlining the basis for their request to the chair of the division's admissions committee. Management (BBA)
This degree program is designed to prepare graduates for careers leading to
leadership roles in business and other management settings. The
academic program is designed to give students the analytic and conceptual
tools to address a wide variety of problems including financial, human,
political and legal. To be successful, graduates with a BBA degree in
management must work for common goals and be able to communicate and execute
the mission and objectives of the organizations they are chosen to lead. This degree requires passing the Regents' Testing Program.

Management Information Systems
(BS)
This program will prepare graduates to meet the challenges
of a career in information systems management. This field is one of
the fastest growing areas of need within the business, service, and
governmental communities. Major industries within the area that have
need for MIS graduates include: carpet manufacturers, health care
providers, and government agencies. This
degree requires passing the Regents' Testing Program.

Industrial Operations Management
(BS)
This program will prepare graduates to meet the
challenges of a career in management in an industrial operations
setting. The Northwest quadrant of Georgia has hundreds of
businesses which produce products for both the wholesale and retail
markets. The nature of these businesses ranges from carpet and
related industries, to transportation, to light and heavy
manufacturing. This degree requires passing the Regents' Testing
Program.

Technology Management (BAS)
This program is designed to provide applicants who have
earned an Associate of Applied Science or Technology degree in Business,
Health, Services, and Technology the opportunity to continue their
education. The BAS degree will prepare students to pursue a
management position in the area of their AAS/AAT degree. The
combination of a well founded technical education coupled with the
management courses will prepare graduates for both technical and
managerial positions in a variety of business settings. This degree requires passing the Regents' Testing
Program.

Social Work (BSW)
This program will prepare graduates to enter generalist
social work practice under professional supervision in a variety of
social service and health care settings. Attainment of at least a
third-year advanced level of Spanish language fluency and an intensive
knowledge of Hispanic-Latino cultures will enable communication with
recently arrived Hispanic-Latino families in the Northwest Georgia
area. The program meets all standards of the Council on Social
Work Education (CSWE) and will prepare its graduates to compete
successfully for admission to accredited Master of Social Work programs
at the advanced-standing level and to exempt the first year of study in
the two-year terminal degree program in Georgia and throughout the
United States. This degree requires passing the Regents' Testing
Program.
