What are the general admission requirements of Dalton State College?

What are the BS and BBA admission requirements?
Successful completion of 45 hours in Areas A through F of the Associate of Science in Business Administration degree plan. These hours must include all
courses Area F with a grade of C or better, and either MATH 2181 or MATH 2200 in Area D. A grade of C or better in MATH 2181 or MATH 2200 and an institutional GPA of 2.0 or greater are required.
What are the Bachelor of Applied Science admission requirements?
In order for BAS students to enroll in the Technology Core or other
upper division elective courses, they must have completed all requirements for an Associates of Applied Science or Associates of Applied Technology degree. Students are also required to have completed
all courses in Areas A through E and the BAS Bridge Curriculum courses. Students
are required to complete the BAS Bridge Curriculum courses and Math 2200 with a grade of C or higher. An institutional GPA of 2.0 or greater is necessary for enrollment. All successful applicants to the BAS program have to complete the Business II Test of DSC Educational Testing Service's Major Field Achievement Test during the first semester they enter upper division courses.
What if the courses in my major do not match degree requirements?
Be sure that you have completed Areas A-E of the Core Curriculum and Business Administration Area F.
How will tuition be determined?
Courses numbered 1000 and 2000 will be assessed at the two-year college tuition rate and courses numbered 3000 and 4000 will be assessed at the four-year college tuition rate. Please see the Office of Fiscal Affairs for more information.
Will HOPE be available for these degrees?
Yes, provided you have maintained a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average and have met the other HOPE eligibility requirements. Are these degrees applicable only to the carpet industry?
No. Dalton State College business degrees combine skills in both technology and management. This skills set is in great demand in many different industrial and business settings around the country.
