The Dalton State College Management Information Systems Bachelor's Degree program prepares DSC graduates to meet the challenges of a career in information systems management in all types of businesses, industry, finance, health care, services, and government. Major organizations within the area that have in-house MIS include carpet manufacturers, health care providers, and government agencies.

On September 9, 1998, The University System of Georgia Board of Regents approved a change in the mission of Dalton State College, authorizing the institution to begin offering specialized bachelor's degrees. The College welcomes this opportunity to expand its services to the residents of Northwest Georgia and thanks the community for its continuing support.
