Summer Academy 2006
Better Scores: Over 190 bilingual middle and high school students improved their test scores by 14%. As usual, thirteen instructors taught a total more than 800 classes in English, Math, History, and Science.
College Majors: Dr. Randall Griffus, top right, the DSC math professor advising our three seniors planning to enroll as engineering majors. The rest of our seniors met with other professors to discuss their career majors.
Sports Day: Mr. Khote and students at right, wearing Summer Academy t-shirts enjoyed the wet balloon toss during the first Sports Day of the program.
Free Classes: The Goizueta Foundation provided all funding for the summer program, including free classes, bussing, texts, t-shirts, and snacks.
