Biography:

I was born in Davenport, Iowa but was raised in Columbia, South Carolina. I recently joined the Dalton State community in the fall of 2011 after graduating from Georgia State University in December 2010 with a PhD in Composition and Rhetoric with a secondary concentration in Medieval Literature. Before GSU, I received my MA in English, Literature & Professional Writing from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, and a BA in English Literature & Creative Writing from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. My husband and I live with our two Yorkie-Maltese dogs, Pip & Squeak, here in Dalton, and, when I am not reading and/or writing, I love going to the theatre, running 5Ks or half marathons, doing yoga, and eating frozen yogurt ;).
