Background: I received my B.S. in Mathematics with minors in Astronomy and Statistics from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2005.  In 2010, I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics at Iowa State University working in the area of Hopf algebras. In particular, my dissertation focused on the classification of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras.  In general, my research interests are in the areas of abstract and linear algebra: Hopf algebras, associative and non-associative algebras, representation theory, linear and multilinear algebra, group theory, and category theory.
