Biography:
As a native of North Georgia, after finishing my undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, I headed to Atlanta to attend graduate school at Georgia State University, where I taught for six years. I am now glad to be home, living in Ringgold, GA, with my 14-year-old son, Kelton, and teaching at Dalton State College (my parent's alma mater) for the past two years.

My research interests include Twentieth-century American Literature and Disability Studies (autism). I also love reading about psychology and religion. In my free time, I enjoy traveling (most recently to Philadelphia and New York) and modern dance.
