The
course aims at meeting the general goals and intended outcomes of the
Division of Social Sciences (See below). However, the course aims at
meeting specific learning objectives. Upon completion of Anthropology
1103, students should have knowledge and ability to demonstrate that
knowledge about the following areas:
1.
Major theories of cultural anthropology.
2.
Major methods of conducting anthropological research. 3. Characteristics of four types of the human society: hunting-gathering, horticulture, pastoralism, and agricultural societies.
