Biography:
Dr. Thomas D. Veve, a native of the great state of New York, arrived at Dalton State College in the fall of 1991. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Hofstra University in 1974. He earned his Master's Degree in 1983 from Marquette University, and his Doctorate in Philosophy in 1990, also from Marquette. Dr. Veve, commissioned as an Infantry Officer after completing ROTC at Hofstra, retired from the United States Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2002, after 28 years of service. He has published one book, The Duke of Wellington and the British Army of Occupation in France, 1815-1818 (Greenwood Press, 1992). Dr. Veve has recently published numerous entries in a several encyclopedias, including Naval Warfare, Encyclopedia of the Second World War, French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars and The Encyclopedia of American Military History. Dr. Veve currently serves the college as an Associate Professor of History,
