Stafford Loans - Federal Stafford Loans are low-interest student loans
that must be repaid after you graduate or drop below half-time
enrollment.
PLUS Loans - PLUS Loans are loans that parents may borrow to help pay
for dependent student's educational costs.
Service Cancelable Loans - available for ASN, LPN, Rad Tech and Med Lab
Tech
Promise Teacher Scholarship Loan - Promise Teacher Scholarships are
available to Education majors accepted into the Education Program and in
their junior or senior year
Private Loans - Private or alternative loans are available, but they
should be your last resort. Take advantage of all federal and state aid
programs before you consider private loans.
Service Cancelable Loans - Limited funding is available each year in
Service Cancelable Loan funding for students accepted into the following
health programs: Associate Degree Nursing, Licensed Practical Nursing,
Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, and Medical Lab Technician.
Students must file the Free Applciation for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
in order to be considered for this loan program. These loans are
cancelable through service in a Georgia health institution in the
borrower's field of study. Contact the Georgia Student Finance

Promise Teacher Scholarship Loans: These Service cancelable Loans are
available for students accepted into upper level Education majors. A
maximum of $3,000 is available for each academic year. $1500 of this
loan is forgiven for each year of service as a teacher in a Georgia
public school system.
Applications are available around June 1. Funding is first-come,
first-serve on a statewide basis, so an early application is
recommended. Applications may be printed at the gacollege411 website.
Private Loans: Private Loans are the last type of loan you should
consider because they often have high interest rates or require a
creditworthy cosigner. If you are not eligible for federal or state
financial aid these programs are an alternative source of funding. make
sure you do your research before selecting a lender. You may search
