The Jewish Educational Loan Fund has been helping Jewish students in the Southeast attain their dreams of a higher education by granting them interest-free loans since 1961. These interest-free loans provide the final dollars that bridge the gap between a student's total financial resources and the cost of attending school. John Gyles Education Awards

The John Gyles Education Awards are available each year to students in both Canada and the United States. They are the result of a private, benevolent endeavor established in 1990. Full Canadian or American citizenship is a requirement. Awards are available to both male and female students for all areas of post secondary study. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Criteria other than strictly academic ability and financial need are considered in the selection process. Selected students will receive up to $3,000.

The PFLAG-Atlanta Scholarship Awards are designed to recognize outstanding lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals; encourage continuing education for self-identified LGBT individuals; and foster a positive image of LGBT people in society. The Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy
A nationwide college student essay contest in which three college students will be named and awarded a $10,000 educational prize. The contest begins November 17 and will engage college students in issues of renewable energy, sustainability, and conservation.
