Position Title Counselor
Position Qualifications
/Responsibilities
The Counselor position will provide career, academic, and personal counseling to Dalton State students with an emphasis on career services. The Counselor will assist students with career development and planning, job search training, facilitate workshops, and provide short-term, individual counseling and group therapy. The Counselor is expected to serve as a student advocate, provide consultative and outreach services for faculty and staff, and support holistic student wellness. The Counselor must have an earned Masters degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or related area; hold a professional license or will obtain their license within two years; possess two or more years of experience working directly with students, clients, or patients. The ideal candidate will have counseling experience in a college or university setting, be able to work independently, and have good follow-through and communication skills.

Department School of Business
Position Coordinator of Student Operations
Position Qualifications
/Responsibilities
A Coordinator of Student Operations in the School of Business is needed to direct the student advising process, manage internships and career placement activities, and coordinate alumni activities with the DSC Alumni Coordinator. This position requires teaching at least one course each semester.  

A Master’s degree in a business field is required and experience in higher education is preferred.

The successful candidate will be detailed oriented, have expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Some evening work may be required.

Position Accounting Assistant
Position Qualifications

Dalton State College is accepting applications for the position of Accounting Assistant to be responsible for assisting students, processing student fee payments, preparing student invoices and third party contracts, and assisting in the preparation and performance of registration each term. Must possess good communication skills with the ability to work with the public, maintain close attention to details, and comprehension of processing procedures. Experience in accounts receivable, cashiering, and banking; and some knowledge of fund accounting and generally accepted accounting principles is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with directly related experience in the use of or administration of the BANNER student software. Excellent BENEFITS.

Dalton State College is accepting applications for a Curriculum Development and Student Transition Coordinator in the School of Technology. Duties include curriculum changes, student advising, outreach efforts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and other projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, experience in educational program development and student advising, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, software proficiency, and evidence of successful project leadership.
