The Northwest Crescent Leadership Alliance is a collaborative leadership development program among five colleges and universities in the northwest crescent of Georgia: Dalton State College, Georgia Highlands College, Reinhardt University, Shorter University and Southern Polytechnic State University.
This selective leadership program is open to freshmen, sophomores and juniors of member institutions. The selection process targets up to five emerging student leaders from each participating college that demonstrate potential to become leaders through on and off campus leadership and volunteer activities. Students from these institutions gather during the fall semester at respective campuses to explore leadership development theory, diversity, ethics and civic engagement.
NWCLA Mission Statement:
The Northwest Crescent Leadership Alliance is a collaborative student leadership program that, through experiential learning, exists to develop, empower and prepare ethical student leaders for enhanced campus and community engagement.
