Ribbon-cutting for the newest addition to the DSC campus, the Liberal Arts Building, took place during the Fall Semester 1999. The Divisions of Social Sciences, and Humanities moved during October 1999 into their new quarters on the second floor. The building provides classrooms on three floors, with computer lab facilities and specialized classrooms on the third floor.  On April 12, 2001, the building was officially dedicated as the Shirley and Alan Lorberbaum Liberal Arts Building.
