Circulation
  • The Circulation Desk is where you go to check out circulating materials, renew your materials, pay for late, lost or damaged items, clear patron record blocks, get Course Reserve materials, get GIL Express and Interlibrary Loan materials, pick-up and pay for print jobs, purchase supplies. DSC students may also borrow wireless laptops for In-Library use. Please read the Circulation Policy for specifics on eligible patron types and loan periods.

Course Reserves

Copying and Printing

  • The library supports patron printing. Black and white prints are .10 a page and color prints are .25 a page. The printers default to front and back but patrons may reset the printers to single side printing if desired. Photocopies are .10 a page. We ask that our patrons read the United States Copyright Law statement posted near the copiers before making copies. Individual users are liable for any infringement. Library staff will be glad to assist you use our printers and copiers.

Workstation and Community Use Policies

  • To ensure that our workstations are ready and available for patron use, we ask that you abide by our workstation and community use policies. Priority use of our workstations is always research.

Tutorials

  • Online tutorials come in many forms. Try these links to assist you with understanding the nature of electronic information sources and to successfully navigate the World Wide Web.

Library Research Guides

  • We’ve created Library Research Guides from some of our most common questions. Find a guide for things like citing APA or MLA style, How do I find a book using a Library of Congress Call number, or even How to find articles in GALILEO.

Course Guides

  • If you’re stumped getting started on your research for a particular class, we may have a Course Guide that can help you. We’ve created Course Guides from some of our most common assignment questions. Find a guide for things that will help you research literary aspects of film or film criticism or find an appropriate Educational research topic.
