The Dalton State Annual Fund’s three week faculty and staff campaign concluded recently with a giving participation rate of 54 percent. The effort was led by a team of 26 faculty and staff volunteers who solicited their departmental colleagues. The campaign was coordinated by the Dalton State College Foundation’s Office of Development.
“In this difficult time of economic uncertainty and challenge, we are proud of the confidence our faculty and staff are showing in the College through their investments in the Dalton State Annual Fund,” said Sara C. “Skeeter” Pierce, Foundation Chair. “These gifts will return immediately to the institution to support academic programs, student scholarships, faculty and staff development, and other strategic initiatives. We are indeed grateful for the vision and commitment demonstrated by these employees.”The Dalton State Annual Fund supports the College by seeking private philanthropic support for investment in student scholarships, enhancing academic programs, promoting faculty and staff development, the growth of the campus, and other institutional priorities that support Dalton State’s mission of providing access to a quality higher educational experience.
