Middle East to Be Lunch & Learn Topic at Dalton State

January 12, 2012

Dr. Cordia StallingDr. Tom Mullen

Dr. Tom Mullen, Associate Professor of Political Science, will present “America and the Middle East: Today and Tomorrow” at the next Dalton State Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, January 31, from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Dalton State in The James E. Brown Center, room 101.

"America has a long and complicated relationship with the Middle East," Mullen says. "Recent events like the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, Gaddafi’s overthrow in Libya, and the unsettled nature of Bahrain, Yemen, and Syria have profound effects on U.S. policy both at home and abroad. What do these changes mean to the U.S. and its interests in one of the most turbulent parts of the world? We’ll discuss these and other America-Middle East issues at the January 31 Lunch and Learn.”

Reservations are required and may be made by calling 706-272-4473. Cost is $10; payment is required in advance. Lunch is included.
