Dalton State Professors to Debate National Politics
October 9, 2012
Just two weeks before the Presidential election, The Dalton State Foundation sponsors a pair of professors going head to head on national politics in a Lunch & Learn program on Wednesday, October 24, at 12 noon in the College’s James E. Brown Center.
Dr. Ken Ellinger, Associate Professor of Political Science, and Dr. Tom Veve, Associate Professor of History, will discuss presidential politics and the race for the White House in what promises to be a spirited debate.
“We are honored that two of Dalton State’s perennial student favorites are joining together for a special Dalton State Lunch & Learn to help us navigate through the current state of American politics,” said Josh Wilson, Alumni Relations Coordinator. “With so much at stake in this election, this is a unique opportunity for voters to come have lunch with us and learn about the issues. Professors Ellinger and Veve will provide color commentary on the candidates and on the forces shaping the debate this election season. Political junkies will not want to miss this unique Dalton State Lunch & Learn event.”
Reservations and advance payment are required by Monday, October 22, and can be made by calling 706-272-4473. Cost is $10. Lunch is included. Those wishing to know more are invited to contact the Foundation office at 706-272-4473.
