Belgian Professor to Speak on ‘Managing Change’ in Program at Dalton State

Belgian businessman and Professor Johan Vanhaverbeke will speak on Change Management in International Marketing and Sales in a program open to the public Thursday, March 28, at 3:45 pm. He appears courtesy of the Center for Economic Research and Entrepreneurship of Dalton State’s School of Business.
Vanhaverbeke, who will lecture at Dalton State as a visiting professor from sister university Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel in Brussels, Belgium, has hands-on experience directing marketing and sales across the European continent, according to Dr. Larry Johnson, Interim Dean of the School of Business.
His career outside of academia includes sales director positions with British American Tobacco Company, N.V. Bonduelle, N.V. Vandemoortele, and KBC Banking and Insurance. In 2000, he joined the faculty at HUB where he teaches marketing, sales, communication, and business organization.
The Center for Economic Research and Entrepreneurship is an outreach arm of the College’s School of Business that provides economic research and analysis to local businesses and economic developers. CERE sponsors a speaker series and publishes a semiannual newsletter, “Business Analytics,” which addresses topics of local economic interest.
