Sherry Riley, Director of Dalton State College’s Adult Literacy Program, accepted a check from Brianne Vinyard, Assistant Manager of the Walnut Avenue Walmart, for $1000 recently. The grant will be used to purchase General Educational Development (GED) instructional materials and to make official GED Testing Scholarships available to eligible candidates in Whitfield and Murray Counties. “We appreciate Walmart’s interest in supporting education in our community,” Riley said.
