Email Etiquette -- Are you following these?

User Account Request form is now available online to be printed, filled out and sent to OCIS via inter-office mail.

STUDENT E-MAIL ADDRESSES
If you are a new student, your email account will normally be ready after the first full week of classes.
To obtain you email account information:

You may log into Banner and go to view email addresses under your personal information.
You may also stop by Memorial 103 with a valid student ID or drivers license.

The student email logon is located here at https://sm.daltonstate.edu/webmail.

UPGRADES
Currently, OCIS is upgrading many things across campus. One such popular item is that of office computers for faculty and staff. We have a list of people scheduled for upgrade and are working on filling these upgrades one building at a time. Please be patient while these upgrades take place. You will be contacted a few days before your upgrade.

VIRUSES
When it comes to viruses there is a new threat floating around the internet. Now we have viruses masquerading as emails from Microsoft offering a patch to help prevent viruses on your computer. This is false. Microsoft DOES NOT contact their users by email concerning updates. If you receive this email offering a patch for you computer DELETE it. If you have a question, or fear you might have become infected please contact OCIS at x 2611.
