Mission Statement

The mission of Dalton State College Department of Public Safety exists to work in cooperation with the Dalton State College Community striving to provide a safe environment in which people may pursue academic and personal growth.  The Dalton State College Department of Public Safety places the safety of the college community as its highest priority.  The Dalton State College Department of Public Safety is committed to providing a safe community for students, faculty, staff and visitors.  Through progressive training, proactive enforcement, and ethical conduct, our department provides and maintains the delivery of quality services.  The involvement of the community is important to the success of our efforts.  We value the community in which we serve and we are always available for input and information from the community.  The Dalton State College Department of Public Safety will abide by the rules designed and approved by the Board of Regents.  The Dalton State College Department of Public Safety is committed to maintaining the highest degree of loyalty, integrity and professionalism in all its operations.  We will adhere to impeccable integrity and careful protection of the rights of those we are sworn to serve.
