History
Kappa Delta Pi was founded in 1911 and was one of the first discipline-specific honor societies. Its membership is limited to the top 20 percent of those entering the field of education. Kappa Delta Pi claims over 600 chapters across North America and 45,000 total members. Its motto is "Knowledge, Duty, Power", and its mission is to sustain an honored community of diverse educators by promoting excellence and advancing scholarship, leadership, and service.
The Alpha Mu Chapter at Dalton State College was founded in 2007 and currently includes 100 Juniors and Seniors in the Education program. Our mission is to promote success and excellence in the field of Education.
