Dalton State College will
welcome classical pianist Paolo Andre Gualdi to the stage of the
Stan and Janet Goodroe auditorium on Tuesday, March 25, to perform
music by Beethoven, Bartok, Liszt, and Ravel.
Sponsored by the Fine Arts and Lecture Series, the solo concert
begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
“Gualdi began studying piano with his father at age five, and then
continued his education at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in
Rome, Italy,” said Jane Taylor, Director of Public Relations for
Dalton State.
“He earned his piano diploma with highest honors at the Conservatory
Arrigo Boito in Parma, and in 2002 he earned a master’s degree in
piano performance at Carnegie Mellon University.”
Gualdi has won numerous top prizes in piano competitions and has
played recitals in Italy and the United States, both as a soloist
and a chamber musician.
He is presently pursuing a Doctorate in Piano Performance at the
University of Georgia with Dr. Evgeny Rivkin, and is currently an
Associate Professor of Piano at Emmanuel College.
