Dalton State College announces Honors Convocation scholarship recipients
 
Eighty-nine rising sophomores, juniors and seniors were awarded DSC Foundation Scholarships recently during Dalton State College’s annual Honors Convocation.

This year, the DSC Foundation awarded more than $142,100 in scholarships to sophomores, juniors and seniors and will award additional scholarships to incoming freshmen entering in the fall of 2008.

Corporate and individual donors were on campus recently to make those awards.
 

Catoosa County residents who received scholarships include (from left to right): Jason Clark, the Kiwanis Club of Dalton / Earl McGhee Scholarship; Rachel Runyan, the Fincher-Loughridge Teacher Education Scholarship; Whitney Roy, the Kenneth E. & Dottie S. Boring RN Scholarship; Angela Daugherty, the Kenneth E. & Dottie S. Boring RN Scholarship; and Matt Hancock, the Wachovia Bank Scholarship for Business Excellence.
