In order to stress the importance of applying early for financial aid benefits, Dalton State College Financial Aid officers offered students “a carrot” this spring. Those who applied for aid before the June 1 deadline had their names entered into a drawing for a gift certificate from the College’s bookstore.
Bachelor of Business Administration major Sheila Rivera of Dalton, third from left, received the $100 gift certificate, which she says she will use to help defray the costs of her books for fall semester.
