To launch this initiative, students were recently given an opportunity to meet community responders, check out emergency equipment and vehicles, and acquire information about emergency preparedness. In addition, The BACCHUS Network, an organization devoted to helping students make critical lifestyle decisions about high risk behaviors, set up a demonstration simulating alcohol impairment of sensory perception by asking students to walk a police line while wearing specially designed "beer goggles."
