State First Year Experience (FYE) students recently participated
in an art contest based on fall semester common readings events:
Smoke Signals, Business of Fancy Dancing, and Skins.
Approximately 75 students contributed art, essays, and mixed
media projects to the contest, with winners named as follows:
Pictured with her art, a work done in pastels titled “Cherokee
Indian” is Jussey Vick
who took first place in art and was named the contest overall
winner .
