The Institutional SAT (ISAT) Reasoning Test is the SAT College Board test
which is administered at Dalton State College for on-campus administration on
dates set by the college.

The ISAT is a three and one-half standardized exam. It measures verbal and mathematical reasoning skills that students have developed and needed to be academically successful. Dalton State requires that all students entering into a transfer degree program that have been out of high school less than 5 years have SAT scores.
You should bring the following items when taking the
- Current photo ID i.e., driver's license or passport.
- Simple four-function or scientific calculator. Click here to see what calculators are permitted..
Beginning Fall 2012, a minimum of 2 separate forms of picture ID will be required to take the ISAT. If you do not have ID, you will not be allowed to take the exam on that day. Also, please be aware that Visual comparison may be required for you to be allowed to take this exam.
What is acceptable identification?
Acceptable identification includes:
School isued ID (high school, college, etc)
Results are provided directly to the Admissions Office and are generally available within 24 hours of completing the exam. The Admissions Office will provide students with feedback on the ISAT exam.
Unlike the National SAT, the ISAT is used solely for acceptance to Dalton State. These scores will not be accepted by another institution for admission.

While preparing for the ISAT is definitely advised, the Testing Center does not endorse a particular preparation method. Here are some preparation options:

If you take the SAT during the month of July, you scores will be processed in time for Fall Semester.
Please note: Payment for the exam should be made before you come to take the exam in the Testing Center. Payments are to be made in the Business Office and can be made the day of your exam. The payment should be exact cash or a check only. Please contact the Business Office at 706-272-4435 if you need additional payment information. The $55 SAT fee is nonrefundable. You will be required to show your receipt of payment in order to take the exam.
