The U.S. Department of Internal Revenue recognizes the Foundation as a non-profit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
Foundation Scholarships
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, many people know the Foundation for scholarships that we award each year to hard-working students. Learn how a scholarship can be established with a gift of $500 or more.
The Dalton State Foundation Excellence Awards
Since 2005, we have annually recognized outstanding faculty and staff on campus with the Dalton State Foundation Excellence Awards. The recipient of the Foundation’s Excellence in Teaching Award is the College’s commencement speaker each December.

Donor Bill of Rights
The Foundation subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights as created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Giving Institute.
