Biography
I am incredibly proud to be an alum of Dalton State College. BEEP BEEP! After graduating from Dalton State, I worked as a Community Support Specialist in the mental health and substance use treatment field. I obtained my MSW from the University of Alabama in 2017 and am licensed by the state of Georgia as an LCSW. Shortly after completing graduate school, I began providing clinical services, including individual counseling, family counseling, crisis assessments, mental health/substance use assessments, and trauma assessments. My work also included aiding in the operations of a non-profit organization, organizational leadership, assisting individuals in managing chronic illnesses, and assisting with financial crises. I enjoyed being a field instructor to many BSW and MSW students. My teaching journey at DSC began part-time in Fall of 2020, and I was honored to transition into full-time faculty in 2021.
I have three amazing children, including two sons and a daughter. My wonderful wife, Lacy, and I have been married for eleven years! We also have four spoiled cats! Please feel free to say hello if you ever see me around!
