Vice President Search

Dalton State College seeks a Vice President for Student Enrollment and Success. As the chief student affairs officer for the college, this leader will be responsible for directing the college’s student enrollment and success operations.
The functional areas in this division include Enrollment Services (admissions, records, and financial aid), Dean of Students (Student Engagement & Belonging, Student Conduct/Community Standards, Career & Professional Development, Case Management, Disability Access, the Counseling Center, the Ken White Student Health Center, Campus Recreation/Bandy Gymnasium, Title IX, the Testing Center, the Nest, and the CARE Team), and shared supervision of Student Success with Academic Affairs (academic advising, peer education, Roadrunner Scholars Program, Roadrunner Experience, and Adult Learning).
The successful candidate will demonstrate active, visible engagement on campus and in the community as a partner with industry, professional, and civic leaders. In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate in the implementation of Vision 2050, Dalton State’s new strategic plan.
Key qualifications and expectations include:
- Doctoral degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
- More than five years of related experience required.
- Experience working at a state or community college preferred.
- Experience working in a Hispanic-Serving Institution preferred.
- Knowledge of enrollment management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of student development theory.
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in student affairs and enrollment management.
- Knowledge of state and national issues related to higher education.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
- Knowledge of budget development and management principles.
- Solid leadership and management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skill in decision making and problem solving.
- Knowledge of Board of Regents policies and procedures.
