Dalton State Hosts 3rd Annual Roadrunner Runaround

Trees around campus will be in bloom and the weather should be perfect for a run for the Third Annual Roadrunner Runaround.

The 5K race, scheduled for April 2 at 9 a.m. at Dalton State, benefits a cross country scholarship.

Registration fees are $25 until March 18 and $30 after that until the day of the race. Participants receive a T-shirt and race snacks.

“We are very excited to be hosting this for the third year in a row,” said Leslie Taylor, associate professor of English. “We hope people can join us. It’s a beautiful time to be on campus, and the weather is ideal for running.”

The 5K course starts near the bell tower and finishes at the track by the tennis court. There is also a one-mile walk on campus.
