Dalton State Receives Gift from Wells Fargo

09/28/17

Wells Fargo Bank recently made a $10,000 gift to the Dalton State Foundation in support of student scholarships.

“We are deeply honored and gratified with the depth of support shown to our students by our friends at Wells Fargo,” said Dalton State Foundation Director David Elrod. “Throughout the College’s 50-year history, Wells Fargo and its predecessors in Dalton have been an integral part of what we do here in support of the campus and our students. Local president Dale Cruse and his staff continually go above and beyond in their support for Dalton State and the Foundation, and we are so grateful for the ways in which they support the College, both with this annual display of philanthropy and with their ongoing advocacy for the many good things going on here.”

The gift will help sustain scholarships as part of the Wells Fargo Scholarship Fund for Academic Excellence at Dalton State.

“More than half of our students seek need-based financial aid in order to enroll at Dalton State,” Elrod said. “Gifts like those from Wells Fargo have a significant impact on our students today and in our communities in years to come when these students graduate and become contributing citizens to our overall quality of life. We appreciate Wells Fargo’s friendship and confidence.”
