Wells Fargo Gift Supports Dalton State Scholarships

Thanks to a recent gift from Wells Fargo Bank, Dalton State students will have more access to financial assistance.

The gift sustains scholarships as part of the Wells Fargo Scholarship Fund for Academic Excellence at Dalton State.  

“We are honored by the depth of support Wells Fargo and its predecessors in Dalton have shown to the college over the years,” said David Elrod, Director of the Dalton State Foundation. “The bank’s tradition of support for Dalton State and our students is now in its sixth decade. Local president Russ Hunt and our relationship team at Wells Fargo continually go above and beyond in their expressions of support for Dalton State and the foundation. We are grateful for the many ways they support the college, both with their philanthropy and advocacy.

“Gifts like this from Wells Fargo have a significant impact on our students today and will benefit our communities in years to come when these students graduate and become contributing citizens to our overall quality of life,” he said. “We appreciate Wells Fargo’s friendship and confidence.”

More than half of students at Dalton State receive need-based financial aid. With the college’s affordable tuition, even a small gift for student scholarships can go a long way.
