Dalton State Suspends Face-to-Face Classes; Moves to Remote Instruction Monday, March 23

03/13/20

Following guidance from the Governor's Coronavirus Task Force, the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and the University System of Georgia (USG), Dalton State will suspend instruction for face-to-face classes the week of March 16 and begin remote instruction on Monday, March 23. Current online courses will continue without interruption.

Dalton State's campus will remain open in a limited capacity to provide services and support to faculty, staff and students. Campus will operate with minimal employees and move to remote operations as much as possible.

Moving to an online format will minimize learning disruptions and will not slow students' progress toward a degree. Students will receive information about how to continue classes via email and/or GeorgiaVIEW.

Additionally all on-campus events (both those hosted by the college and outside groups) as well as college-sponsored off-campus events have been canceled through the month of March.

This is a rapidly evolving situation, which is subject to change.
