Why did you choose Dalton State? I wanted to move out of Maryland, and it was a very affordable school.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To be a part of a great community.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to move back to Maryland and obtain my master’s in social work so that I can hopefully work with either mental health, immigration, or refugees.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? I have many professors that I like a lot because they each have something that I enjoy but if I have to pick one, I will pick Ms. Becerra because she gives a lot of great feedback on our assignments, and she is very understanding.

What activities are you involved in on campus? I am the manager at the Birdfeeder, and I am the upcoming vice president of the Social Work Club for the 2018-2019 year.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? My biggest achievement at Dalton State is being accepted into the Social Work Program.

What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I love to go to the movie theatre.

Where is your favorite study spot? In our classroom.

Where is your favorite hangout? In the classrooms in the Health Professions building.

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being able to receive an award for The Birdfeeder and go to a conference in Richmond to advocate for the Birdfeeder. I was able to receive feedback on how to improve it to better meet students’ needs.

What is the last book you read? “Unquiet Mind”

What’s on your iPad? I don’t own an iPad.

Favorite comfort food? Shephard’s pie

If you had a theme song, what would it be? Christina Aguilera “Can’t hold us down”

Favorite line from a movie? “No thanks, I had bugs for lunch.” – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

What is your guilty pleasure? Playing with my curly hair while trying to go to sleep

What do you feel most proud of? Being able to make it as far as I have in college and knowing that I am doing many great things and will be able to implement them into the real world when I graduate next year.

If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be? My phone, my father’s football, my father’s urn, my laptop, and my car.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Buy my mother a house, pay back my grandparents for all the years that they spoiled me, and then build an apartment complex for the homeless.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? Being able to talk in front of large groups of people because in order to advocate, I need to be able to speak in front of large groups as well as small groups.

What cheers you up? My dog Leroy Jethro Gibbs and speaking to my mother.

What is your favorite book? All of “The Saddle Club” books

Who is your hero? My mom

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? My cousin, Eboni

What is your favorite childhood memory? Going to the pool in the apartment complex from the time it opened until it closed. We would order pizza and bring a stereo so that we could dance there as well. We would have so much fun.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Mother Teresa and Rosa Parks.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A vampire

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To run boldly means to give 100 percent in everything that you do and to never give up. If you can’t find an answer, find someone who does, and use resources to get to where you want to be.
