Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose to come to Dalton State because I come from a small town and a small high school. I love being able to get to know my peers, extend my personality out through my community, and I love being able to elicit positive change. You have to start small to get bigger, and at Dalton State I have so many opportunities to make a difference. I have so many people that I can touch. We are a tighter community, and that is the highlight of this campus. I chose Dalton State because it was made for people who want to be successful and who want to make a difference.
What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to work at The Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon as a NICU Primary Care Nurse and then return to school for my Practitioners License.
What activities are you involved in on campus? I am a resident assistant in Mashburn Hall, and I am the new publicist for the Psychology Club. I am gradually extending my involvement into bigger areas on campus.
What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? Coming into a new area is hard on anyone, but as I have learned it can be very successful. Some of my biggest accomplishments have been becoming an RA for the 2016-2017 academic year, and being chosen to be an RA for the 2017-2018 school year. I was nominated for SGA senator at large, even though I did not get the position; I consider this an achievement because I see my name and reputation getting bigger on this campus. I was elected as the Psychology Club's publicist for the 2017-2018 academic year. I have maintained my Hope scholarship and have made Dean's list twice in the two years I have been here. Last but not least I made an A in my anatomy and physiology class with Gene Mesco - and that was a huge achievement! He is a great professor, but it was definitely a challenge.
Where is your favorite hangout? The lobby in Mashburn is where you meet some of the best people and the Pope Center.
What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? It is so hard to choose just one, so I narrowed it down to two. The first one would be that I met my best friend here. She was my roommate my freshman year here and I have made so many hilarious and embarrassing memories with her. She will always be one of my favorite things about coming here. The second would be the day that all of the RA's moved into Mashburn for the very first time. We played sardines which took hours to finish because of how big Mashburn is, and it was the first thing we did as a team. The first team of RA's in Mashburn all became some of my best friends.
Favorite comfort food? Cube steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Soul food!

What is your guilty pleasure? Midnight milkshake runs with my best friend. It happens a lot more than it should.
If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be? My bunny pillow, my favorite blanket, my favorite snow globe, my Nanny's cross necklace, and my bible.
If you won the lottery, what would you do? Donate half to various charities and invest the other half.
What cheers you up? A good joke and a white mocha frappacino from Starbucks!
What is your favorite book? “Black Beauty” because it is about a horse. I love horses.
Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Hopefully Melissa McCarthy. She is absolutely amazing!
If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Martin Luther King Jr. because he made a huge impact on the life I live today. Without him I wouldn't have some many amazing people in my life.
Where is your favorite place to eat? Anywhere with queso and salsa!
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being part of Roadrunner Nation has given me a family. It has given me people to embrace, lives to influence, and most of all memories that I will never forget. My first homecoming, my amazing Residential Life team, my incredible residents at Mashburn, my favorite professors... Roadrunner Nation has given me a home. It has welcomed me in to be a part of what we have created here on this Georgia mountain soil. Being a part of Roadrunner Nation means that I will always be a part of Dalton, a part of this community, and a member of this family. When I am up here with the people I love, I am the epitome of euphoria.
