Why did you choose Dalton State? The opportunity was given to waive the application fee! It’s affordable and close to home so it chose me.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means that I wake up super early everyday knowing I will be seeing my favorite people who support me endlessly in one spot. Knowing that makes me the happiest and means so much.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Professor Janice Overstreet! Having her as my statistics and bio statistics professor were the best classes I've taken here. While I was challenged, her care has gone above and beyond the classroom setting. Classes with her will always be engaging just how they should be.

What activities are you involved in on campus? Currently I am the Director of the Campus Activities Board, an Orientation Leader, an Ambassador and a Beta Chi Nu Recruiting Officer. I love every position, and it’s very interesting balancing these different groups!

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? It would have to be learning from my past mistakes and acknowledging my growth. I knew nothing about handling my academics, my social life, my family nor self-care and it really took a toll. Although with support from others and the motivation to be better, I learned. I didn’t give up and I'm still going strong.

Where is your favorite hangout? I wouldn’t call it a hangout, but I am seen often in Wescott and the Dean of Students office. In my free time I will always stop by and say hi to students, faculty and staff. I love to talk to them and hear about their day!

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Attending a beach cleanup in 2019 with other officers for Beta Chi Nu. Specifically, was all of us eating dinner together in one room and chatting the night away after the cleanup. It was something so small yet so significant, the fact I got to help the environment along with amazing people just warms my heart.

Favorite comfort food? Chicken noodle soup and spinach and artichoke dip

If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Undercover Martyn” by Two Door Cinema Club. The lyrics don’t make sense, but the song is so upbeat and happy, aka me.

Favorite line from a movie? "Anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great." – Chef Auguste Gusteau

What is your guilty pleasure? Watching the Housewives on New Jersey. They are all intense, and I am living for it.

What do you feel most proud of? The time I crocheted half a blanket! It took me two months and a whole lot of yarn.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? How to properly whistle; everyone knows how to do it, and it's so useful.

What cheers you up? My pets Salt, a cat, and Pepper, a chihuahua.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Anne Hathaway hands down. It would be such an honor.

Where is your favorite place to eat? 9292, which is a Korean BBQ.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A police officer and a vet...at the same time.

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To Run Boldly means while you run through and over all the obstacles in life with even the hardest wind blowing you back, you continue to run forward. You run forward with passion in your heart and care for not only yourself but everyone you meet.
