Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose to attend Dalton State because it is very affordable, everyone is super friendly, and it is easy to commute from home.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being a part of the Roadrunner Nation means being a part of a group that always goes above and beyond in trying to help others succeed while working on your own success.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to teach high school biology for a few years while working on a master’s in kinesiology and doctorate in physical therapy, with hopes to eventually practice in a VA hospital.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Kim Hays! She makes lecture and labs so much fun and always tries to connect with her students. She truly cares about her student's success and will always help you in any way she can. I had the privilege to be her supplemental instructor for Anatomy and Physiology 2 and LOVED it!

What activities are you involved in on campus? I have been a part of the Dalton State Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction team.

Where is your favorite study spot? The swing between the library and Peeples!

Where is your favorite hangout? The Tutoring and SI room

Favorite comfort food? Chicken nuggets and a Dr. Pepper

What is your guilty pleasure? Classic country, especially “Hello Darlin” by Conway Twitty.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would rescue as many shelter dogs as I could and buy a bakery and live the rest of my life baking cakes and traveling the world with my boyfriend and our puppies.

What cheers you up? Doing anything with my boyfriend

What is your favorite book? City of Bones series or Freakonomics

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Melissa McCarthy

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Rosalind Franklin, I need to know if she’s as upset as me about the theft of the double helix.
