Why did you choose Dalton State? It’s close to home, and Dalton State offers a lot of great opportunities for biology students.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To be a part of a supportive community of friends and teachers who push you to do your best.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to take a year off and get some work experience before applying to graduate school.

What activities are you involved in on campus? The Turtle Assurance Colony and phytoremediation research with Dr. Mohamed.

What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? Hiking on campus and at the Disney Trail, going to the flea market, visiting Heritage Point Park and visiting Edwards Park.

Where is your favorite study spot? The benches on the quad.

Where is your favorite hangout? Also the benches on the quad.

Favorite comfort food? Macaroni and cheese.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? At the risk of sounding a little creepy, the Halloween theme song. It’s super catchy and it reminds me of fall.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? Oil painting. Art is one of my favorite hobbies, and I think oil paintings are particularly beautiful.

What cheers you up? Being out in nature and spending quality time with people who I’m close to.

What is your favorite book? The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben.

Who is your hero? Steve-O, he’s involved in and supports some really cool things for the community. I also read his autobiography a couple years ago and I think his story is really inspirational, not to mention super interesting.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Rachel Carson.

What is your favorite app? Reddit.

Where is your favorite place to eat? Soho Hibachi.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A veterinarian.
