Dalton State Receives Gift from Bank of America

08/09/17

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has made a gift to the Dalton State Foundation in support of student scholarships.

“Our friends at the Bank of America Charitable Foundation have stepped up once again,” said Dalton State Foundation Director David Elrod. “Bank of America’s local market president, Will Pridgen, was the catalyst for this latest gift to Dalton State, and we are grateful for his and the company’s ongoing interest in the success of our students. Bank of America’s corporate citizenship in our community and their partnership with us in making sure students have the resources they need to attend college creates a win-win environment for all of us.”

The gift will sustain scholarships for need-based financial aid in the 2017-2018 academic year.

“Few people realize that more than two-thirds of our students seek need-based financial aid in order to attend classes here,” Elrod said. “Gifts like those from Bank of America have an immediate impact on our students today, and they have a long-term impact when those students graduate and become productive citizens in our communities. We are honored to have earned Bank of America’s friendship and confidence.”
