Dalton State Presents Final Concerts for Fall 2017

11/21/17

With the end of the fall semester in sight, Dalton State concerts are wrapping up with two final performances.

The Dalton State Singers will perform Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m. in Dalton State’s Goodroe Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

“The Dalton State Singers is made up of 16 singers from the student body, faculty, staff, and community,” said Dr. Robert Dean, a part-time instructor of music who direct the choir. “We are performing a mixture of classical music from the Renaissance and Classical periods, a few contemporary works, and a medley of songs from the movie ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’”

There will also be a Campus Community Concert Nov. 27, 7:30 p.m. in Dalton State’s Goodroe Auditorium. The annual performance will include 15 different acts from Dalton State students, faculty, and staff.

The concerts are made possible by a grant from the Dalton State Foundation to the School of Liberal Arts.
