The Department of Natural Sciences is committed to providing high quality general education programs in the natural sciences and high quality baccalaureate programs in biology and chemistry, each with an option for secondary education certification. Courses taught by the faculty also support the other certificate, associate, and baccalaureate programs offered at Dalton State. Courses within the school are designed to instruct students in effective use of the scientific method and to provide students with knowledge required to succeed in educational, scientific, medical, or technical fields.
