Fulbright Specialist

The Wright School of Business at Dalton State College is pleased to announce that Dr. S. Ray Smith, Instructor of Management, has received a Fulbright Specialist Program Award. Dr. Smith will complete a project at Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania that aims to exchange knowledge and establish partnerships benefitting participants, institutions, and communities both in the U.S. and overseas through a variety of educational and training activities within Business Administration.

Dr. Smith is one of over 400 U.S. citizens who share expertise with host institutions abroad through the Fulbright Specialist Program each year. Recipients of Fulbright Specialist awards are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, demonstrated leadership in their field, and their potential to foster long-term cooperation between institutions in the U.S. and abroad.

Dr. Smith helped to facilitate the new partnership between Dalton State College’s Wright School of Business and Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania. A memorandum of understanding was signed on May 31, 2022.
